Reminder: Google Reader is being retired. Effective today July 1, 2013 Google is retiring their popular Google Reader application. That means that if you subscribe to our blog via Google Reader you’ll need a new way to stay connected.
Here are a few options that will ensure you’ll continue to get our blog posts delivered to you, fresh off the press.
- Subscribe via email so you get notified directly through your inbox when new posts are published. Just add your email address to the form on the right hand side of the blog homepage to be added to our mail list.
- Choose an alternative RSS Feed Reader – Google Reader is discontinuing their application, but RSS as a whole isn’t dead. There are lots of RSS Feed Readers out there that are eager to take Google’s place. You can try Feedly, Digg Reader, Flipboard for mobile RSS, or search the Internet for a reader that’s right for you.
If you’re unsure of which reader to use, you may want to download a few different ones to try them out. If you still can’t decide, you can retain your Google Reader data, including subscriptions through Google Takeout so you can import to a reader at a later date. Don't wait though, after today, Google Reader will no longer be available.
We hope you’ll continue to follow and enjoy our Uptime Blog where we talk about parts catalogs, MRO related topics and keeping all kinds of complex equipment up and running. Please share our stories and give us feedback by way of comments.
